🍳 Premium 16" Electric Skillet by Cucina Pro - Stainless Steel with Glass Lid for Effortless Cooking Review

It never worked properly and after 1 1/2 years the cable connection burned out. Yes, it's been over a year, but you can reasonably expect a $100+ frying pan to last much longer and certainly not suffer from electrical issues. Based on my experience I would advise others to avoid this product.

My daughter had just moved into her new home but there was no oven yet so she had to rely on this pan 100%. She and her husband tell me they are so lucky to have him. They have been cooking in it since mid-October, there is no stove yet. She even made a pot of rice that came out perfect. They cooked their entire Thanksgiving dinner in that pot. I continue to be grateful for that.

Bought the same pan as a gift a few years ago and was told it caught fire during use. The recipient prefers stainless steel over nonstick, which is hard to come by, so he turned to Revain to find a replacement. I didn't know it was the same pan until the recipient mentioned it, but assumed the first fire was an accident. The second also caught fire, this time after just a few months.

Don't buy any of these. The joint in the pan began to sparkle, smoke heavily, and the plastic around the joint melted. If there was fat around, we'd have a serious fire. I contacted Cucina Pro and they didn't want to help because the warranty had expired. I find it hard to believe that they would rather have this review than endorse their product.

I've never liked non-stick surfaces for various reasons. I find them uncomfortable and potentially unsafe. Give me a good, reliable stainless steel every day. I was looking for a replacement for my mom's old stainless steel sunbeam unit that she had had since we were kids and found a very good one. I've had the Cucina Pro electric frying pan long enough to cook about a dozen meals in it. I've cooked chicken, fish, hamburgers, including egg rolls. I like the even temperature and the fact that it doesn't come back to heat with a blast. If stored at normal temperature, it will become perfect. Never overheat.
