It's literally 3 wires. All you had to do was put the color you wanted in the right output at 3.5mm. They failed terribly. My cable arrived, I plugged it in properly, but there was a deafening buzz from the TV. I tested different plugs and found that all 3 emit the same buzz. The video signal comes from both white and red, and all audio comes from yellow. The white cable's video output is buggy, spinning and looks like a 2005 YouTube video has been corrupted. The yellow wire's audio is muffled, almost incomprehensible, and generally just plain awful, and if you connect the red wire AT ALL, the video signal will be clipped and unusable. I paid $8 to have this cable not work. What kind of moron does it take to mess up a simple cable that an amateur can throw together in his garage? Don't buy this absolute rubbish.
