I am a retired draftsman and engineer and have been planning projects using a small portable drafting table for years. My engineering career forced me to learn how to design and draw on the computer, but as an old-school draftsman, I never really enjoyed computer drawing. It just never satisfied the "artistic" aspect that the sketch always seemed to fill. Anyway, drawing on your knees has never been comfortable. or simply. Drawing tools keep slipping off the chair and never finding a comfortable position to hold the chalkboard, square and triangles. it turned out just great! To be honest, there isn't much to draw on an easel. but it wasn't long before I had designed and built a miniature drawing board that fit exactly how it was made for her (er, what she was!). Now I just leave it on the wooden TV stand and away we go. set aside until I want to use it again and it turned out to be exactly what I hoped it would be. I keep all my small drawing tools in one drawer and my 8.5" x 11" small drawings in another. I LOVE IT!
