There are 8 lighting modes. All the different types of flicker or flicker and one of my favorites, "constant mode". It is very easy to install, just connect it to the solar panel. The fact that it uses solar energy makes it convenient and easy to carry. If you need them before nightfall, all you have to do is cover the solar panel with a cloth or towel. I placed them at the top of the stairs and on the porch railing. You are doing such a good job! They are very durable and will not be damaged in windy weather. I look forward to getting more for Christmas to hang on my patio and front yard. I was amazed at how much solar energy they collected and glowed all night long! This is a sweet little sunshine for your porch/patio. The light is housed in a flexible plastic tube that keeps it dry and durable. We like them very much and we will buy two more for our other entrances. The glow is soft and warm, not as glaring as other string lights. I recommend them and we love them!
