Good hoses but I'd settle for stock

I'm sure these hoses are good quality and I only fitted the passenger side but I decided to do this to write while it's still fresh in my mind. First, none of the metal brackets shown are included. Also not included is the rubber hose holder shown in the photo (which is assembled with the hose). The kit includes several typical wire machine holders. The instructions state that the bracket on top of the spindle is to be removed and discarded. The manual says nothing about the bracket that attaches to the A-arm. This last bracket is molded around the stock hose and you will need to bend or cut the bracket to reuse it. I think this kit just suggests that you ditch that A-arm mount as well, but then the hose has a long section that isn't supported. I decided to reuse all of the stock brackets to ensure good support and brake hose routing. I raised the strut on top of the spindle to allow the old hose to slide out and the new hose to slide back in. I cut the A-arm bracket out of the old hose and reused the bracket for the new hose. I drilled two holes to use zip ties to hold the tubing in place. If I had to do it again I would just buy stock hoses with the correct clamps. The factory did a great job routing and securing these hoses and it would have been nice to be able to reuse these mounts without all the hassle I had to go through. These hoses run with factory style brackets, except for the single top bracket closest to the motor.

Cons
  • Hard to tell
