I bought these to replace my old regular ice cube trays and I'm still not sure if that would be a good move. While at first I thought the "cubes" were a bit small, after some use I liked the size and they pop out completely without breaking like old trays can. As others have said, the lids don't snap so you can only stack the trays on top of each other. The main problem is filling and emptying. I could fill my old trays in seconds, there aren't that many. I've improved the way they fill, but it still results in some not being fully filled and others overflowing. It's also not a quick process as you have to keep a close eye on every field you fill out. When full, they become harder to pull out and get dirtier. Speaking of cube mining, it's not too fast either. It helps if you leave the trays out for a few minutes at first, then simply twist and flex to release about half of the ice. For the rest, you have to press on the soft bottom to push it out. Be careful when sliding from below as I separate the silicone base from the hard plastic. It still works, so I'm lucky, but you can easily ruin part of the tablet if you're not careful. I still haven't decided if this was a good change, but I still like their idea and will continue to use it.
