I'm a certified residential and commercial HVAC technician with 51 years of experience. Although I'm retired, I'm still trying to renovate a central home and family car. It seems to keep me busier than I'd like. I've used all the old wired electronics on the latest electronic leak detectors. They all work to varying degrees, which often leads to failed leak detection. Received it today, installed the batteries and started some testing. My main concern was whether it would find R-410a leaks, my current main concern. Well it passed the test and found every leak I created on an existing system. He also found R-134a, R-404 and MO-99 in jars which I have for testing purposes only. I am very impressed and not easily impressed. If you are a certified technician, you are welcome to purchase one of these for your tool bag. You will not regret it.
