As others have said the dimensions kits are amazing. You have more than enough thread to complete a project, the instructions are clear, and the finished pieces are always perfect. This set isn't difficult at all, but it was a little more interesting than the last dimensions set I finished because it used half stitches and color combinations. I would recommend it to those who have already done at least one project. The thread is taped to the cardboard sorter, but I always wrap the thread around the spools anyway, so it doesn't bother me as much as other people do. My two complaints about this product are that the chart only used three colors for different symbols and it was hard on the eyes at times. Another set I used from Dimensions had 4 colors and similar colors weren't used in symbols which should mostly be together. With a backstitch it's sometimes hard to tell whether the lines are crossing through corners or not, so it's hard to tell whether you should do one long stitch or break it up into several smaller ones. With this set, I found that more small stitches needed to be done (especially on the chairs). But in general, these two points didn't stop me from working on the project and I've already bought the dimensions kit for my next project.
