Excellent whetstone/washer at an affordable price

Excellent product. Used straight out of the box. It only took a few minutes to impregnate and prepare the stone. Once I was done I was able to turn the very dull blade of my knife into a nice and clean polished blade that now cuts through paper like butter. I also bought it to try out a small hatchet I bought no more than two or three years ago that was so blunt it couldn't even fire kindling for a fire, but now it's so sharp that I even redid the handle so it didn't slip. ripped out of my hand and accidentally hurt someone. All in all a first class sharpening stone. I was delighted to finally see all my blades working and couldn't be happier with my purchase. I would absolutely recommend this even to a beginner if you take the time to watch videos and tutorials on proper technique slowly and get the speed up to a level that is comfortable for you. Again great product 10/10. As a side note, I noticed a review from someone who claims to have been doing something like this for a few years and was still disappointed that his stone was moldy after putting it away while still damp on the inside. the little bamboo carrying case it comes in (very handy btw) and a word of advice to this guy and everyone reading this: LET YOUR STONE DRY BEFORE STORE IT. It's not that hard to figure out that if you put something damp in an airtight container, it's likely to become mold (not mold, inorganic things like rocks can't mold), so use a little common sense and let it go you stand it several nights . a towel, which should remove excess water from the stone, remembering to turn it over to dry both sides. I mean, if you can't do this little job, don't buy it and then blame the company for your own short-sightedness.
