Easy repair - should have been done a few months ago

They fit snugly into the slots on the back of the latch assembly; The lock does not need to be removed. Lots of YouTube videos will show you how to do it. If necessary, use a dental mirror to align them; Spraying a small amount of silicone on the flanges also helps. Easy to fix - easier with the second one once you figure it out.
