You need this box cutter! Step One, Cut a hole in the box.

when you work, shop, and even order groceries along with carry out online that results in so many boxes coming to the house. Our recycling is bi-weekly with a 80 gallon can and it fills up quickly. To get the most of our bin I cut up everything down to smaller sections and cram that box full!I have previously used those 60 cent cutters with tiny break off blades which dull quickly and end up wasting several when extending 3-6 sections to cut large items. So I decided to buy a heavy duty utility knife that was in the $20 and under option when using filters. There are so many features that I appreciate about this B/Bury knife.1) size appropriate for my belts. Clips on and is not too long where I will feel it when squatting or bending over.2) Large locking button that is made out of metal with a spring to lock and unlock the blade out of the handle3) Instructions for swapping blades is laser etched into the blade holder, similar button type that unlocks the blade but just smaller. This allows a quick way to swap blade sides or replace the entire blade.4) Blade holder in the handle is the only component on this knife that is not metal but uses flexible but crack resistant plastic. This holder has the capacity for five blades BUT WAIT - There's more! This section has two rare earth magnets located at the side and bottom of the blades to hold them using magnetism. No worry of falling out when opening this part of the knife. 5) 10 additional blades are included with this set in a plastic box with a single slide out slit. I have two options to get the blades out. I can push the black sides of the container to access all blades for reloading. Two black plastic tabs push the blades up towards the top of plastic case to help with sliding them out one at a time like Pez candy dispenser.

Pros
  • Very easy to use
Cons
  • The knife may not cut smoothly and require excess force
