So I have this to switch between 2 power supplies, a 12vdc power supply and a 12vdc lithium battery. When connected according to their instructions, the chain of light will return to the opposite chain. So I just turned them off. Wow. In both cases the switch will handle 30 amps at 12-15 VDC, however there is a voltage drop across the switch. For example, if the battery voltage under load is 12.9 VDC, the switching voltage will be 12.1 VDC. (I have a pressure gauge on the switch) I also checked that the voltage drop is there and nowhere else, and bridging the switch eliminates the drop. So as long as I use 2 of these they will be replaced
