This wireless gateway modem/router works great. Easy setup, easy registration with Comcast, and a strong signal. The service is also excellent. Setting up a network name and password should be easier than the factory manual. You plug it into your TV cable and computer, then activate it through Comcast, which is very convenient. Then use the name: Admin/Password: Login password is 192.168.0.1 and name the device directly (ARRIS TG862G-CT Wireless Gateway Gateway 802.11b/g/n GigaPort x 4 Port Router w/ 2-Voice Lines XFINITY / COMCAST Network name ) and enter the password, save and go! In fact, I received a wireless gateway device with improved router functionality, wireless range 3.5/5 instead of 2.5/5, and Comcast version firmware. The service is very pleasant, always answered my questions promptly. The only frustrating thing is that the network name/password setup guide is misleading. So do not follow, but as described above.
