I can remember why I chose this seller over many other round bit sellers on Revain but I gave them a try and was bitterly disappointed. When I opened the pocket they were in they looked good enough, I tried 2 prongs, made fairly large holes at 4mm intervals but everything was fine, then I took out the 6th prong, i think it was, I looked at the teeth. and they weren't in a straight line, they were in an arc! Totally useless for embroidery. but wait, that's not all! Two tines have just fallen out of a chisel with six teeth. Haha, you've heard about cheap Chinese sellers, but it's hard to believe that the seller is sending completely defective products. what's that supposed to mean? It stuns me to think that these faulty tools have traveled thousands upon thousands of miles around the globe, carried and transported by countless men and women, and they are just junk in their packaging. why? Also, I believe there was a chisel with 4 teeth or a count and its teeth were also in an arc and not in a straight line as it should be. Well, the choice is yours when looking for a round hole. Chisels you can try your luck with this vendor or any of the myriad others at this price point. Personally, I returned this junk and think I'll try Anger's kit. Wuta is a Chinese leatherworking tool manufacturer, I've tried a few of these that I bought here at Revain and they turned out to be legit. I bought a legitimate beveling machine. It feels very solid, the wood is polished to a glassy smooth texture. The tool just feels solid and luxurious (we're on a very tight budget, so we don't have tool shelves filled with Barry King or any of the super-priced new tools). I also bought something similar to a shoe hammer from Wuta. A really solid deal. I think there is some kind of coating on the steel head of the hammer, it's a bummer, needs to be chemically removed. But the face was almost polished and the hammer looked like a real tool. So maybe I'll use Wuta round chisel to sew the holes. From what I recall they cost a few bucks more, but it's really a negligible difference considering you're probably running sideways or double-shouldered, which costs $200-$300. Hope this helps, sorry for bad memory. All the best, needlewomen!
