Imagine a gelatin capsule that contains cool stuff but also contains some air so it tries to float no matter how deep you push it into the rocks. Imagine trying to get a balloon to stay under your gravel, that's what these capsules are for. No matter how deep you push it in along with the water tweezers, when you come back you will find the capsule(s) floating on the water surface. The whole idea is that nutrients are released in the root zone to feed the plants, not in the open water to feed the algae. Capsules are "floating devices" compared to tablets and incredibly difficult to place, while tablets sink and stay in place if you push them into gravel. The price is great, but the functionality is not.
