The only drawback with this product.

PRICE that's why this device only gets 4 stars. On the other hand, unless you use it commercially, you'll probably only have to buy it once in your lifetime. I didn't want to pay $15 for three small bottles of colored liquid, so I looked online. Popular e-commerce site. hell it's e-bay It's listed, some are about the same price + shipping, and one is 4 times the price ($89.96) and only 1 left, so hurry! I haven't found it cheaper anywhere. So I decided on a replacement. food coloring? Maybe it works. I already have some and used them once 10 years ago to color some beer green on St. Patrick's Day. For that it worked well. Maybe. But no, I think I could have something even better. the ink I used to refill Canon color printer cartridges! I've been using it for many years and I know how concentrated it is. Just scraping off your hands made the whole sink full of water turn blue. So I put some red ink in a small reusable tea light, shook it and it worked great for a while. After a few hours all the paint came off and went to the bottom and the oil became transparent. OK. Fail. Return to the drawing board. Let's get back to food coloring. Same process, same results. Only this time the color seeped into the wick, turning it dark blue, and the next day there was very little color left at the bottom of the candle. So I finally bit the bullet and decided on this dye and it works great. I have quarts of lamp oil so I used a drop to color each one except the yellow one. I didn't really want a bottle of yellow liquid lying around. But the yellow doesn't go away. The app has an address that takes you to a website that shows you how to mix primary colors to get other colors. My advice? If you want to color your lamp oil, hold your nose and pull the trigger. Or buy colored lamps and use clear oil.
