Well it was a recent quick upgrade to an SSD instead of the HDD that was previously in the laptop. I bought it a little over a year ago and it has been in use in my laptop for about a year as of tonight. Quick and easy hardware installation, Windows also installed quickly. Tonight, however, he decided the deed was done. The computer is hard locked so I restarted it and that was it. "No boot device found." I tried to repair the operating system installation using a Windows boot disk, but that didn't work. So I ended up trying to reinstall Windows but the SSD couldn't even be initialized. He's just dead. :/ Now I can try PNY warranty claims and customer service too. *UPDATE* The return process was easy and the replacement arrived quickly. They use the "You pay to ship yours, we pay to ship ours" method. Those who. Big. We'll see how long the replacement lasts.
