Yes, on the passenger door you need to unscrew the screws that hold the door latch in place.

I'm pretty sure the reason it failed (this is the second replacement) is that when someone else replaced it the first time one of the glass guides broke. The part was plastic and I found it in the cavity of the door. I had to make a "sister" support out of 16Ga steel, fill it with epoxy and bolt it to the main node.
