I bought this unit to replace the exact same tool. I have had another for many years. I'm guessing the first one took about 10-12 years or so. Eventually he started making a noise and vibrating heavily. I looked around for parts and took it apart, then found an inexpensive new one with accessories and figured it would be less of a hassle. I use mine for cutting wood in interior decorating. Although I still use it more on metal. I work on cars and have used it to cut off screw heads and cut through the flat part of a fastener that had been ground down. (e.g. Torx screw). I used it to cut spark plug guard that was rusty and warped. Recently I cut off part of an aluminum ladder that was in the way. (It got hot but not red to remind me that I burned a little.) I have a quick release part for this and it's easier. I also cut off wheels that you snap/snap into place. These two accessories make my life easier. I thought of fancy WiFi. I was thinking about getting one with more speed. I've always had that and it worked great for my purposes. I guess these others don't really bring everything I really need. (They are bigger and sometimes this one was quite bulky and I wish it was thinner) Free accessories are nice. Someday I will use them.
