Watch my video about the speed of this grinder. Because of its compact size, it works slowly: it takes 6 minutes to grind 4 ounces of whole beans to the finest grind (espresso grind), effectively pulverizing the beans (see photo). I use a Bialetti 6800 Moka Express 6-cup stovetop espresso machine to make espresso, and a full brew makes two cups of espresso for a homemade latte. 4 ounces of coffee beans (the amount it grinds at once) is enough for almost 4 cups of espresso from my Bialetti. The fit and finish of this grinder is good, the grind quality is excellent, the machine doesn't make any noise like traditional rotary blade grinders, and it's in a really compact form factor. The 6 minute grind time isn't all that unacceptable to me and is a reasonable compromise for the superior grind quality and the space saving it offers, not having to have another device on my countertop.
