Great for our needs
We have an entrance to the home from a garage that opens inward into a busy hallway, so for years we faced the possibility of the door hitting us when we pass. We placed this motion sensor next to the outside door with a ding dong beep and now we have an audible alarm when someone enters. While this worked well for us, we didn't find the remote control useful as it requires line of sight. (it's infrared), so it's easier for us to just press the button to turn it on and off.
