Cute little vacuum pump

I haven't had this product for a long time so I can't comment on its durability but I'm very happy with the quality and ease of use, especially given the price. This package only says OEM but the pump is branded Mityvac and I believe it is sold under that name as well. The product appears to have been developed and marketed by Lincoln Industrial of St. Louis, Missouri. Made in China. See [.] This set is very similar to the MV7000 but one less angle adapter. Note, however, that the MV7000 is rated for 25psi. The OEM 25136 I got from Revain can only develop 12psi (measured on two different gauges). testing. Another accessory worth mentioning is the collection container, which allows the pump to be used to bleed brake systems or other small hydraulic control systems. It also has two different rectangular adapters to attach to regular car air outlets. What I didn't expect is that the pump has a second port that can deliver pressure. This can be useful for testing controls that require a pressure signal instead of a vacuum signal and can provide up to 12psi. By the way, the vacuum port can create a vacuum of 25 inches Hg. /vacuum when you're done testing. The release is "all at once" and would be difficult to modulate if that were important. The creation of a vacuum can be carried out with sufficient accuracy. Pressurization is less accurate as it is generated by the force of the pump handle return spring. If necessary, however, it can be modulated by small pump strokes. Another unexpected plus is the instruction manual. Operation of PCV valves, EGR valves, ignition delay valves, electro/vacuum solenoids, thermally controlled vacuum switching valves (Ford, Chrysler and GM called PVS, TIC or DTVS). The manual also includes a section on bleeding the brakes. ng, as well as warnings when working with ABS systems. It even has a separate section dedicated to motorcycle brakes and master cylinder bleeding. For some reason there are three additional test routines specific to lawnmower fuel inlet valve and tank shut off valve. The content is repeated over 70 pages in Spanish, French and German. While I have a pretty good general understanding of the systems discussed in the manual, I actually learned some tips and tricks that I didn't know. . It was worth reading. It should be noted that the documentation specifically prohibits the use of this pump with flammable liquids and gases. I suspect this is more for security and legal reasons than anything else. But who knows, maybe the pump seals wouldn't have withstood the solvent power of gasoline or alcohol. Air and brake fluid are officially supported and that's why I bought them anyway.
