Review on 🔌 Enhanced Efficiency: Johnson Pumps 82044 Bilge Pump with 3-Way 12V Panel Switch by Jose Pacyga

I really wanted to like the Johnson 750 gph/mag float switch pump combination paired with a Johnson brand bilge switch panel. The panel is pre-assembled, so it should be perfect and easy to install. Right? No! First, there was a QA bug with the panel wiring. The 2 pins missed the blade pins and were held in place by the pressure of the plastic insulator. Two of the wires were unmarked. Second, the only instructions that came with the panel were for the Ultima switch, not the magnetic float switch that came with the pump. To solve problem one and two, I ordered another panel. It had instructions for both types of pump switches. Same problem with wires not attached to spade terminals. Third, the connection diagram was not attached to the pump itself. After hours of trying to get it to work using alligator clips, moving wire by wire and figuring out where the remaining/unused wires from the board are. Got to go, turns out the solution was to cut the wire they connected back to back between the Brown+ magnetic float switch and the Brown+ pump. Now they are connected to panel pins #4 and #5.
