I have a new graphics card but an older monitor. I bought a 3 foot DVI cable. When I installed it, the display had a significant amount of random green dots scattered across the screen. I borrowed a DVI cable from my son's computer and the problem did not occur. I sent this cable back. This is likely an isolated issue with this particular cable. Other observations: The cable is quite thick and seems durable. The connecting screws that attach to the monitor and PC are a bit smaller than I expected. The top screws only allow tightening of the flat head blade. I generally prefer a Phillips head for easier installation.
