This is from the Sony website. Connect one end of the cable to the headphone jack on the IC recorder with a mini-plug cable. Plug the other end of the cable into your computer's microphone jack. Open the Audio Recorder window and click Record. If you are using the Windows® XP operating system: Click the Start button, select All Programs, select Accessories, select Entertainment and click Sound Recorder. Make sure the audio level is turned on. Click on the volume icon in the taskbar. When the volume control is set to MUTE, you cannot record anything. Click the Record icon. Audio levels in the volume mixer by clicking the volume icon in the taskbar. When the volume mixer is set to MUTE, you cannot record anything. Click the Start Recording button. Press the PLAY button on the IC recorder to start playing back the messages you want to record on your computer.
