Wobbly very thin veneer and imprecise construction but LOOKS good

OK so I think this is the epitome of a 3 star product. It is literally an average quality item but it still looks very nice which is the main purpose of having a TV stand in our home. For the price, I think it should have been MUCH more solid and of a better standard. Pros: - Looks nice when finished. The style is good. Very clean and simple. Brown veneer looks tolerable, but on closer inspection it loses its attractiveness. - Assembly was easy. The only snag was that it was very awkward to attach to the bottom of the legs because it's on the floor and the Allen key isn't long enough to attach it really easily, so it's very slow. But this is in the order of things when assembling furniture with your own hands. - The width is great! This is the ideal width for a 55" or 65" TV and most have at least a few inches on each side. Cons: Feels comfortable. Without the TV (which adds over 40-50 pounds to the TOP), fully assembled and empty, it wobbles a lot more than I would like on a short rug. The main issue is the legs aren't close enough to the edge of the block, and the positioning of the legs in the middle is just wrong. Slide it on top along with the TV and you immediately realize you don't want to be messing around nearby. If only it weren't so painful to take apart. - Door gaps are HUGE. In the product photo they may be 1/8"-1/16" but my block is about 1/4" around the edges and the magnetic doorstop only fits properly on the left door. The right door normally stays closed, but it's not Because of the magnetic closure - The doors don't feel strong at all. As I told my daughter. Under no circumstances should you push the doors, even by accident. Only open and close. - The veneer is very thin and the exteriors had quite a few light scratches - Overall quality is only very so-so. Construction tolerances were VERY tight meaning nothing felt very solid in place except for the legs, which they snapped securely into. But the doors and the inner shelves in particular wobbled a little too much for that more comfort I'd rather over tighten things than too loose So here's the synopsis: It's cheap, maybe overpriced for the quality, bute r when assembled it looks pretty good. I wouldn't expect it to last more than a few years and if you have young children just stay away from it!
