Review on ๐Ÿชž Clearview ATV TEK UTV Mirror with Vibration Isolator and Breakaway - UTVMIR1 by Mark Deuschle

Received opened and scratched Used product

Installed on a 2007 Yamaha Rhino UTVI Really wanted this mirror and when I finally got it I received a resealed used product. The back of the mirror was scratched and the mirror itself had permanent scratches and fingerprints. The mirror makes a quite robust impression. The mirror screws onto the mounting bracket and an additional "knurled nut" attached to the bracket rotates to lock the mirror in place. This vibrates constantly and must be tightened. As a result, the mirror loses its position and often has to be readjusted. The block itself is held in place by black radiator clamps. The package includes two rubber stickers that can be placed on the places where the clamps are tightened and prevent scratches. I feel like that's not enough so I made my own rubber bumper so I can move it anywhere if I decide to reposition my mirror. Overall, the individual components look good (save for scratches), but the entire assembly lacks the strength to handle bumps in the terrain without constant adjustment. I mostly drive off-road in the desert.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Hardly ever
