Review on High-Resolution Touch Screen Acer T272HL Bmjjz HDMI Monitor – 27 Inch WQHD Display by Bob Solorzano

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Beautiful, clear and bright

This is a great monitor. I took a chance, this is a very fresh product from Acer and there is little written about it that I could find. My intended applications are digital audio and photo processing. Colors and contrast are amazing and it's very responsive, just like a touchscreen. I'm really happy with the picture quality. The screen came with the picture set to bright, it took 5 seconds to adjust the screen to a more comfortable brightness. The instructions are minimal. The speakers are terrible, good enough for surfing the web. But I didn't buy it for speakers. The camera is good for web conferencing, but there's no on-screen microphone, which is a bit annoying. The stand is surprisingly good and durable. I like tall screens to minimize neck and back strain, so I bought the Ergotron LX LCD Desk Mount Tall Stand (45-295-026) with the monitor. I used the monitor stand for about a day before installing the Ergotron. I couldn't find any instructions on how to remove the Acer stand after attaching the Ergotron, but I knew it was possible thanks to the additional plastic cover Acer supplied. So I experimented. Simply slip the black plastic sleeve over the lever loop and squeeze. The hinge cover comes out, giving access to the four screws holding the lever. Loosen the screws and the arm will come off. Insert the flat plastic cap into the hole. The monitor costs almost $900. But it's worth it for the picture quality.
