The novelty of such a basic idea -- reflective, durable, long-enough, and a place to clip stuff. I have spent literally hundreds of dollars on leashes and harnesses for my rescue dogs, and ones like these are just for their playtime or regular walks. For the price, you really can't beat this quality, as well as the many fun color options.I've seen reviews about dogs eating through the leash, umm, well duh. It's not a chew toy, it's a leash. You should have that expectation that your dog's minimum bit pressure is enough to go through anything. That's not a flaw of the product. My 6-month-old pit bull had a good 5 minutes of gnawing on her sister's leash right at the handle, and I'm shocked she didn't get all the way through. She did get enough though for me to question the full integrity of the handle, though, so I'm getting another one.
