I only use up to 3 poles attached to run service cables (coax, fiber, cat6) through 3/8" holes and as cables to pass through ceilings . . I haven't tried connecting more bars together, I think if it's longer than 4 or 5 bars it will become too flexible to run horizontally in a straight line. I'm glad I have extra bars as I always have a spare bar in case I break or lose the 3 I have in my tool bag. I use them almost every day and they are a must have in any network, low voltage or cable/telephone installer's tool bag.
