Review on 🔤 Logitech Combo Touch iPad Pro 11-inch Keyboard Case - Backlit Keyboard, Trackpad, Smart Connector - Sand; USA Layout by Souly Buddy

I use this keyboard case with an iPad Pro 11 inch (1st generation). After a few days of heavy use I am very impressed with the keyboard case and am now using it to write this review. *** LOVE *** - Great all round protection for the iPad. There's a cutout for the Apple Pencil, leaving the 6.5-inch portion of the right side of the iPad somewhat exposed, but at this point the rubber bumper sticks out about 3mm and still offers some protection. Good design as those of us who spent $200 on the pencil expect to be able to clip it to the side of the iPad while it's in the case. The lack of a loop to keep the stylus in place when moving it does put some risk of loss. but I only pocket the pencil when I'm using an iPad, and I remove the pencil and store it separately when I'm not using it. The detachable keyboard is very good. Another reviewer said that if you've used a Microsoft Surface, you know what you're getting. I've been using the Surface Pro for a few years now and I totally agree. Attaching/detaching the keyboard is easy and securely fixed thanks to strong magnets. The keyboard is relatively comfortable for typing given its small size - key travel is minimal but provides enough feedback to know for sure you've pressed a key. The built-in touchpad is large and the click registers the same with the same sensitivity no matter where you click. The touchpad also recognizes the typical Apple gestures that are usually made on the screen. The backlit keyboard is a nice touch. I keep the keyboard fully dimmed by default to save the iPad's battery and make it brighter when typing in low light. Other reviewers have complained that it's too dark, but I haven't found that to be a problem so far. A set of function keys come in handy. The case looks pretty sleek. I bought the dark gray one and it looks very nice. I almost bought the sand color but it was out of stock and I was afraid that the dirt could be seen better on it than on the dark grey. The stand offers more flexibility in choosing the viewing angle. Again, it looks a lot like the Microsoft Surface stand. I have a protective glass on my iPad and it doesn't bother me at all. It's nice to have that extra layer of screen protection. ***DISLIKE*** - As someone who uses an iPhone/iPad but uses Windows laptops/desktops, it will take some time to get used to the keyboard layout. I often use the Ctrl key while typing (e.g. Ctrl+Backspace to delete whole words). On this keyboard, the emoji key is where I would expect the CTRL key to be (bottom left corner). I understand that this corresponds to the Apple Magic Keyboard for iPad, but I instinctively hold this key and expect that it is CTRL and the emoji menu is shown instead. This is a user experience issue, not a design issue, but if you're switching platforms it's worth considering. There is also no exit button. The home button is where the exit button would normally be. Opening the kickstand is more difficult than it should be as it appears to be magnetized onto the case body when closed. To open up, you have to make an effort, but you can't get anywhere. Probably easier if your nails are longer. I feel the same way when I open the keyboard when the pen is docked. Sticking your finger in the recessed stylus slot and pulling down works fine, but when the stylus is docked and you close the keyboard, it hurts a little to open it again. A little irritation. - He is heavy. 2 lb 5 oz with iPad in case. That's more than double the weight of my 11-inch iPad Pro (1 lb). It's not a deal-killer for me, and reviewers have warned against it, but it's surprisingly hefty (hopefully this translates to longevity, which is a fair deal to me). - Is it expensive. Of course it's cheaper than the Magic Keyboard, but $200 for a keyboard case is crazy, right? Overall I think the review deserves 4.5 stars. If money is no object, go for it, it's a very solid keyboard with a few design flaws and I think it's as good (or better) than the Apple Magic Keyboard.
