Seems like a good idea to change my coils while tuning my 2003 Sea Doo GTX 4-stroke engine. I bought them and put them together with new candles. After 30 minutes of my test ride, my engine went into "limp home mode” and back to the ramp 5 more times on the 6 mile ride. I took it to the dealer this morning and when the mechanic pulled those coils out they broke and fell apart. All three were garbage. The lower part is inserted into the hole on the spark plug. Pulling out the end piece was a real challenge for the mechanic. These things are cheaply made and fell apart. I put the 17 year old coils back in and they work fine. These new ones didn't even last 30 minutes.
