Revainrating 5 out of 5

Accurate/correct view

I noticed that there are too many reviews with incorrect/unprepared information. I'll just tear it down. Requirements: To get 240Hz 10-bit color you need a DSC (Display Port Compression) graphics card, otherwise you are limited to 8-bit. This also needs to be set manually in the NVIDIA/AMD Control Panels. The GPU is even capable of reaching 240Hz and if you want to play with it, depending on the game/settings you might need a very powerful GPU to get a high enough FPS level. Area to use the refresh rate as much as possible. The correct Displayport cables / the ones supplied with the OEM. Issues: Flickering - Completely resolved with the latest firmware update as far as I can tell. The latest firmware update includes a VRR control that needs to be installed in the monitor menu. Backlight bleeding - They are present and very noticeable when the screen is completely black. It's not oled or FALD. But there are bright spots. This shouldn't pose a problem for the actual target reason for buying this monitor. Stuck Pixels - I have one with stuck pixels. It wasn't one, but several in different areas. That's why I bought it directly from Amazon. sent back. Got another one with no problems. The panels are broken upon delivery - yes, Samsung has a problem with that. 1000R curves will break a large percentage of the time during shipping. Due to the curvature and handling of the wearer, there is really no way around it. If you can buy from a big store that regularly sells them in store. Usually they are shipped together on pallets and the carriers do not mishandle them. "My Mac can't always detect it, bro. I have to unplug the cable and plug it back in." This seems to be true at the moment. although for some reason Apple can never figure out this simple thing that Windows has been doing since the 90's. This is a problem with many monitors with their latest Big Sur -Build and an issue on their new Apple silicon (m1) with its own CPU/GPU I have observed this on my own Mac Mini with the m1 PROC module No Ultimate Gysnc - yes it doesn't have one Look for the spec for it online. Then ask yourself would you maybe pay double for this monitor to have this module? I haven't noticed any issues with gsync with the monitor and personally I can't see a reasonable difference between this and gysnc ultimate on a x27 Predator I own. Samsung service is terrible - in my personal opinion they are terrible. Every comment I read on the internet about interacting with them is screaming Happy. So I bought from Amazon and made sure everything worked. Small vertical lines (no dead/broken pixel lines) - Yes, this VA panel can have them. They appear in specific colors and brightness at specific locations on the monitor. They are extremely thin and I doubt most people will notice unless they are really looking for the quality or are very concerned about the quality. Rumored Issues: Ghosts are your buzz, if you think so. Watch Youtuve for a video about the UFO test. The thing works and has a fast response time. gtg 1msHDR is HDR 600 and not a FALD. They do not advertise as FALD. HDR is noticeable and makes a difference in some games. It will not surprise you and is not a problem with this monitor. In my opinion, HDR performs at about the level you pay for. So why a five star rating? curve 1000r. Eye comfort that has been life changing for me.2. 240Hz 10-bit color. The smoothest 1440p gameplay I've ever seen. If you can run at 240 fps, your game will be beautifully smooth. (I don't see much difference between 144Hz and 240Hz but it's still cool) 3. 240Hz power. Window movement and every movement to be used is wonderfully smooth.4. RGB lighting is good5. Nice color 6. While not the wow factor of the FALD 1000 NIT, HDR is pretty good for what you pay for in my opinion. General design. Very good. stands out.8. Power cord length. I have a slightly higher desk and many of my cables don't reach there. this did.9. double display10. Settings to adjust gameplay/reaction/performance/etc.11. monitor button. It is very comfortable to switch between two computers.12 bezel. it's not a thing, but technically it's a frame within a frame, which usually gives the appearance of a smaller frame.13. My kit included a vesa.14 mounting plate. Super USB chargingIs this monitor perfect? No, that is not so. Is this monitor capable of some uniquely stunning 1000R 240Hz 10-bit color? Yes I love this monitor. You can find fault with any shortcomings and get upset about them. When using this monitor I don't even want to touch another x27 Predator or Asus pg27uq (which many consider to be the best monitor ever). This is my monitor.
