The float is simple, the alarm broke when I put in the 9 volt battery. I had to replace. The second behaves normally.
A simple float is great. Signaling is a problem. The insides are not sealed. When I put the 9 volt battery in, one of the wires inside moved and broke. The float can be easily separated by unscrewing the cable connectors. The power adapter is a bit trickier when it needs to be unplugged. So far this is a good product. Not as loud as I would like.
