It may not stand up to abuse from contractors but for general use around the home and business this tape is by far the best I've seen. on both sides and the markings are absolutely accurate compared to my Starrett calipers. The grip is reasonable and has both the typical sliding thumb button and a small button at the bottom for quick index finger interaction (this button doesn't lock). space though). The band itself is very strong and remains rigid even when stretched up to 8 feet. It even topped the 100 inch mark for me and it hasn't fallen apart. There are also a few other nice features that you don't see often. There's a built-in pencil sharpener, and one side has an erasable surface that lets you enter penciled measurements for quick reference (nice memory saver for us oldies). I am very happy with this tape measure and plan on getting a few more of these.
