Was ordered to replace a broken Kenmore water softener motor. Our water softener no longer works. The repairmen did not disassemble it and offered to replace the fabric softener for at least $ 1,000. Took the top of the controller off and found the motor housing was cracked. Got the part number off the motor housing, looked up the number and ordered this as a replacement. A little nervous that this was the correct motor because the part number was different, but it was the correct part. When I installed this motor, everything turned out to be quite simple. It fit perfectly, all holes matched, electrical connectors matched. The water softener is now working properly. Saved a lot of money by not buying a new water softener.
