I use it for motorcycle trips - daily trips (30 minutes; freeway speed) and long interstate motorcycle trips (hundreds of miles freeway + speed). ). I even installed it on a slightly curved part of the handlebars, but that's not a safety issue. The base never moves. I've ridden with the iPhone in this mount and nothing has blocked the headwind, up to 110mph, and as a result the phone hasn't moved at an angle and "pushed out" at me. Very sure. Watch the installation video; This will make your installation work very easy. Paper instructions are inferior to video instructions. It took 8 minutes after watching the video; 4 of them were just deciding what buttons to slide in and where to position them for my particular phone. The vibration from my motorcycle handlebars does not move my phone or mount. I have strategically moved the phone holders and can easily plug in the power cord and audio cable. Thanks to the round foam/rubber inserts that wrap around the handlebar itself, this mount won't scratch my handlebars. While driving, I can stretch and tilt the phone at will, within a reasonable range along the x-axis. The elastic band is a little loose around my iPhone 5, but the spring-loaded grip is no joke - I'm not worried at all about it falling out. NOTE 1: If you want your phone to be waterproof, you need to do it yourself; obviously it's not waterproof. But if you ride pro-top bikes, you shouldn't ride in the rain. Worst case, throw your phone in a ziplock bag or other waterproof case. NOTE 2: I have ordered an iPhone 6 Plus which should arrive in November. I'll update in a few thousand miles to see if it really can keep up with this huge phone.
