Review on Powerful Suction and Versatility: Vacmaster Gallon Peak Vacuum VJC507P by Justin Early

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good enough for my use

This is a good little vacuum and works well for the most part. Suction power is pretty good, but not as good as larger vacuums or some of the more expensive brands. I found that using the squelch seemed to decrease the suction power, so I just turned it off - I'm used to louder and larger sizes anyway. Its light weight is enough for it to be easy to pull and surprisingly it only seems to tip over on rougher surfaces or when you pull the hose fast/hard. Smaller tubes and hoses mean you're likely to bend the tubes a bit when vacuuming with both long tubes, and you'll have to manually pick up some of the larger debris as it won't get through the suction nozzle. . If you're using this on a car you'll definitely miss the grout tool - I just bought one. However, my biggest problem was that the top kept coming loose until I attached a pipe holder to each side mount (see picture). And I have a pit bull mix with short, mini-harpoon-like hairs that dig into the seat covers, making it difficult to vacuum with any vacuum, but with or without an attachment, a thorough vacuum gives a little over 50%. Hair, that's very good, but not great.

Pros
  • Cleaning and sanitation
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled
