Review on ElectroOptix KT7 KT 7 KleerTemp Thermometer by Deon Sweeney

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good product. If you get the exact

I ordered two of these from Revain in mid-May, both were free. I've tested them on 2 thermometers that I know are accurate. One was absolutely accurate, the other about 2 degrees off (reason for the deduction of 1 star). I probably should have returned it but I kept it to myself and on June 11th I ordered another one from Revain as a gift. That was true, too, but in the month between orders, the price almost doubled. I paid $5.89 each for the two I ordered first, $10.98 for the one I ordered a month later and today 3 days after my last order I see that they are now up to 12 $ are. They are VERY EASY to read and I love the fact that you don't have to drive nails or drill holes! Installation couldn't be easier and they really stick (wash the window first). However, if you want it to be accurate, it MUST BE HANGED AWAY FROM THE DIRECT SUN! As an experiment to test the accuracy of the first two I moved one window to the other and at 7:30am at 65 degrees the sun hit the one I was moving and the temperature reading went up to 100 degrees. All in all, if you have the right "dark spot" and a window/window glass large enough to fit a 7" diameter size, you can't go wrong even at $12. how well they work over time. I'll try to think of upgrading this winter for consistent accuracy and durability/durability. and the extremely cold and heavy snowfalls of the MN winters, they are good. VERY GOOD and the price at $12 is a steal!
