I bought this kit for my 2001 Dakota R/T. I've had the truck for about 8 years and haven't changed the valve cover gaskets since I first got the car so yeah it's about time. The old ones - Fel-Pro gaskets btw - leaked a little at the rear of the motor but lasted way longer than they should. In any case, the new ones arrived in perfect condition, no. kinks or cuts or defects. These are metal seals with a rubber coating. They don't require sealant or silicone to hold them in place and they fit great, all screw holes line up perfectly. The engine keeps the oil pressure as it should and I haven't had any leaks in weeks. I installed the gaskets. The only negative I can think of is that when inspecting the gaskets there were still small loose traces of rubber around the inner perimeter that had to be trimmed to ensure it didn't fall off inside the engine. and possibly clog the oil sensor screen. Still a five star product, I'm sure you won't regret it.
