My daughter used this straightener on her long wavy hair. She said it wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. Even after several passes, her hair still hadn't completely straightened. My daughter also recommends brushing her hair with a flat iron a few times and then combing it with a regular comb to get a better idea of how well your hair is straightening. Hair gets very hot with this tool, so use a thermal glove designed to protect your hands. While it didn't completely straighten her hair, my daughter was pleased with how well it reduced volume and thinned out bulk. If you really want to pin straight hair, you may need a different tool, especially if you have thick wavy hair.
