Well made metal bracket, you don't have to worry about the water pressure breaking it off the boat transom. The mount that arrived did not convince me that it would withstand high speeds. The plastic seems flimsy in place, only 2 screws. This one attaches well with 4 screws but only has 3. I would recommend this as a well made aftermarket piece. A slightly thicker material can be used as a splash guard. I thought it was something subtle.
