Review on BD Diesel Performance High-Performance Fuel Pin Kit (Part#: 1040178) by Kevin Nelson

I love the power increase in this kit! This is by far the most economical way to wake up a first generation Cummins diesel. In my case I got 10-15mph on the top end and the bottom end torque improved a lot. EGTs only climbed 50-100° above normal under heavy load and with the stock turbo tired. My fuel economy was unaffected, although I hit the gas every time I had the opportunity to experience an increase in power. Grandpa's truck had a chance to surprise some mustangs! I can't say enough good things about this set based on the quality of the parts; to clear, concise assembly instructions. I was able to install this kit myself in about 2.5-3 hours with very little injector pump experience. The only thing I would suggest adding to the kit is a disposable tube or bag of Loctite (to attach the nut to the filler pin) for those who don't have it on hand. All in all this is a great product! I will definitely keep BD in mind for future updates!
