The holster box idea seems like a good idea except mine broke in transit. At 4 cents a choke I decided to snap a few shots for this initial review. I loaded these 1 1/4 inch staples into my Porter Cable stapler. I had a 2 by 4 piece as a target to which I attached a piece of Advantech 3/4" subflooring and a piece of laminate. . Ideal. I've used thousands of 2" stainless steel braces, primarily for attaching vinyl siding through the insulation .Some projects call for shorter staples so I bought these to keep on hand if the need arises - they are not easy to find in smaller quantities.Here in Florida on the coast there is no substitute for stainless steel , especially if the wood you are likely to be using is ACQ pressure treated.
