I bought this adapter to connect my work VOIP phone (which only supports wired internet access) to my wireless network - Home network to connect. I've used similar adapters in the past and had no trouble setting up and using them. I knew this adapter didn't support WPS, so the device could register with your wireless router without any problems, but that didn't stop me since I could (in theory) just manually register the adapter with the router after it had set up wireless . Connection. At least that's what I thought. Unfortunately, I didn't get that far. The adapter could not establish a WLAN connection to my router for a long time. Once this happened, the poorly designed adapter login screen became useless as it crashed every time I tried to log into the router. When I was finally able to log into the router, the adapter went into reset mode, which it appears to be programmed for. But as part of that reset, it got locked and has just been showing a rapidly blinking blue light ever since. Needless to say, after wasting two hours and getting a bricked device as a result, I got it back. And now the good news. That day I ordered the IOGEAR Ethernet-2-WiFi GWU637 Universal Wireless Adapter from Revain. Thanks to Revain it arrived the next day. I plugged the new adapter into my phone, pressed the WPS button on the router, pressed the WPS button on the adapter and in less than 5 minutes it was up and running. In earnest. DLDR: Avoid this product, spend a few bucks more on IOGEAR and save yourself a lot of frustration.
