Review on 🌿 ECO Reusable Mason Jar Lids with Straws - Wide Mouth Tumbler Tops, Bamboo Lid - 2 Pack by Donny Collins

Revainrating 2 out of 5

They make everything taste terrible

I see closed lids, no straw. Those used in reusable jars to replace metal lids for food storage. I used them for reused salsa jars that didn't fit regular ball tops because the threads were too different. I do not understand any of this. 5-star ratings. Yes, lids work. Lid fits, yes. But if you use them on FOOD storage jars like seeds, nuts, flour, etc., they will make the food taste disgusting. These lids ruined pumpkin seeds, cashews, sunflower seeds, and macadamia nuts (only about $25) and made everything taste like processed bamboo before I figured out what the lids were doing and stopped using them. No matter how carefully you wash the lids, anything stored in jars with those lids tastes like this: gross, bitter, processed bamboo. 2 stars instead of 1 because at least the lids could be used for non-food items. Items such as spare screws, bolts, plastic parts, anything non-food use. I need them for that, so I don't waste them. In the meantime, I need to buy back some nuts and seeds!
