Review on CML Supply Micro Drill Chuck by Chef Buntiloy

Not fancy, but well done.

Not fancy but well made. It has 2 double-ended collets that are blued or have black anti-corrosion finishes. You go into the "cartridge". To get to the other to turn them off you have to unscrew the handle at the other end. The rotating cap is held in place by the "C" spring and works well but not like smooth bearings. The smallest collet held a #73 bit right in the center (0.024" / 0.61mm - medium pin size - sold separately but comes with smaller ones). If the "lips" were longer inside so they could hold more bits, it would be better, but it worked. It should hold big beats well. Processing is accurate. It's not super fine workmanship, but there weren't any burrs anywhere, and that's good for the price. I'm glad I bought it because it comes with a good selection of bits, the case is good for storage and room for more bits, well made collets and it can be used as a regular vise.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • thin
