I bought 2 Refab units to use as repeaters connected to a WNDR3300 in the home. Netgear's exemplary configuration as a repeater left a lot to be desired, so a little experimentation yielded excellent results. Also, unfortunately, there is no technical support from Netgear for recovery. The devices work very well as repeaters and so far I haven't had to reset or restart any after a month. The range extension is about 50-60 feet with a good 3 bar signal. Yahoo loads fast and even games on the MickeyMouse Clubhouse run without jitter or lag. Granddaughter is delighted! With the help of a repeater we were able to transmit about 125 feet from the base to the workshop to the daughter's house, which means transmission through 5 walls. Pretty good! For the price, you get great quality and performance, but you'll love the unit's capabilities.
