Review on Otdair LED Flashlight Solar Power Flashlight, Ultra Bright Flashlight, High Lumens, USB Rechargeable, 5 Modes For Outdoor,Camping, Hiking by Justin Jeppi

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Slightly disappointing, MAGNET IS WORTHLESS, but ok for the price

My brother has the "original" from 4Patriots, so I searched for similar, but with different features. I didn't want a compass, and I'm satisfied with the siren on this, especially that it has five different modes, although it could be louder. His is 250 lumens, and this is NOT 2x as bright, but it IS brighter, maybe 300-350. The light focus is a nice feature, and good till max because then the shape of the LED shows, but that's no big deal. Work light isn't very bright, but adequate. MAGNET IS WORTHLESS! It just slides right down the side of the fridge, falls off the hood of my SUV. The cutter is decent, and I'm sure the glass-breaker will work, as it had no trouble with the bottom of a Mason jar (NOT even close to the same as tempered auto glass). I haven't had it long enough to review battery life or solar charging, except that it came charged, and does charge in the sun. I plugged my Samsung GS7 in and did not get a "slow charging" warning, so that's good. The flap covering the USB port is barely enough to keep out dust, so I'm going to cover it with waterproof tape, since this will be my least used feature. If it gets wet and isn't waterproof elsewhere, I'll be sure to jump on here and update this. It's definitely worth the price, but it could use some minor improvements, ESPECIALLY THE MAGNET. I don't know why that pisses me off.

Pros
  • Better than expected, wonderful item as emergency tool for my ride.
Cons
  • The button is too sensitive and can accidentally turn on in your pocket
