Universal Homemade Feeder

I love that you can use whatever container you have on hand to create a tidy feeder. Quail are ridiculously dirty eaters! I first used a taped cardboard box for my young quail, then a regular plastic container with a lid (I used an old cheap soldering iron to cut (melt) the holes). I taped the cardboard at an angle so the food was on the openings are directed instead of wasting food across the food container Advantages: 1. The material of the opening is thick and durable 2. Can convert any container with a flat side into a feeder without making a mess 3. Is not durable That means It Can be disassembled and used on another container Cons: 1. There are only 8 "nuts" so it's not enough if you want to use all 4 connectors at the same time (although you need the correct size nut and bolt use) 2. Litter can get into the opening and clog the feeder (feeder without litter on the surface face) 3. Mark template to cut the pore hole ta, a bit wonky because the port doesn't go straight in. If you cut the hole to the "right" size, you'll have fun putting a port in it. If you cut the hole older than a year, you will have small gaps for food to fit through

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • I don't really like anything, everything is fine
